Releasing a Domain Name

If you decide to transfer your domain name to another service provider we do NOT charge any fee. You only pay for the registration of domain names.

If you wish to transfer the administration of your domain name to a different service provider then please download and complete our Domain Release Form. This should be printed on to your letterheaded paper and then faxed back to us. The letterheaded paper should match the details we hold about you.

Since the transfer process for domain names differs depending on the name either us or your new service provider will need to start the transfer procedure. Once we have a signed authorisation fax we will remove any registrar lock. You will then be notified that the transfer process can be started. The following table indicates who should start the transfer process.

Please Note: Once this transfer has been completed 3 Legs Ltd will no longer be responsible for your domain name. You will need to renew the name with your new service provider at their rates.

Domain Releases/Transfer Requests will only be accepted from the individual or company that registered the domain with us.
